Tax season is upon us, which means that those unmistakably patriotic Liberty Tax Service “models” are back. You know who I’m talking about- the folks that dress up as Uncle Sam or Lady Liberty, their costumes designed to remind us that there’s nothing more American (or liberating) than paying taxes. Or, perhaps, nothing more American (or liberating) than using Liberty Tax Service.

Perhaps this year, they should have thrown a dash of green in their costume. Everyone else is.

While it may not be top of mind as you slog through old Quicken files, 2009 is definitely the year to start thinking about the plethora of green tax credits and deductions.
