    Show Hardy Some Love

A couple months back, I featured Hardy Wallace, author of the Atlanta-based and world renowned blog Dirty Wine South on Five Questions With. Now, Hardy’s partaking in an interactive job interview, and he needs your help.

First, some background- straight from the source:

Two weeks ago, a shot spread across the Twittersphere- Murphy-Goode Winery is looking for a wine blogger, paying great money, providing housing, and allowing the blogger to live the Goode Life. More information would be provided on 4/26- but only in person, only in San Francisco. Not letting geography bring me down, I redeemed Delta Miles and Marriott points to get a last minute, no cost trip. Along with that, I would be first in line for the opportunity. Being first in line, I was interviewed by the San Francisco Chronicle, Santa Rosa Press Democrat, CBS 5 San Francisco, and then these stories were syndicated all over the web. It pays to be first. For those unfamiliar with me, I publish Dirty South Wine– where “Wine is Meant to Be Crunk”. The most ridiculous and entertaining wine blog in existence. In 18 months, I’ve become a favorite wine site for consumers, novices, wine geeks, traditional media, and the wine industry. Why? Because wine is supposed to be fun– Not scores, not reviews, but people, food, experiences, humor and joy! Three and a half months ago, I was laid off from Kodak, and have poured that time into finding a job just like this. Those who know me in person, or via Dirty South Wine, know that this is my dream job, and that I’ve paid the dues to wear the shoes.

    And now, Hardy’s video:

Take a moment and vote for Hardy at at the Murphy-Goode website. Just click here- it won’t take long, and you’ll definitely be casting your vote for a worthy candidate.

This is great – We're a small wine shop, but we're doing a lot on Facebook & Twitter – we just launched a promotion for someone to win a B&B Dream Vacation along the Blue Ridge Parkway yesterday to see how very small "mom & pops" can use social media to get the sort of results that the big guys like Queensland and Goode are doing. We'll see if people are as competitive to get a vacation as they are to get a job. More info here: http://whyineedabreak.ning.com
