When Mark Knopfler penned this mega-hit in 1985, he probably didn’t think a real estate agent would be using it nearly 25 years later to describe a program designed to encourage folks to purchase foreclosed homes. But alas, dear reader, I’ve come armed with more good news. The Georgia Dream NSP Purchase Program was created to encourage the purchase of foreclosed properties, providing $14,000 to eligible borrowers purchasing foreclosed properties in eligible areas. There are certain conditions that apply, but these funds can be applied to either required repairs and/or down payment assistance.
