Atlanta Homestead Exemption
An important reminder to all of y’all that purchased homes in the 2009: deadlines are looming for you to file for your Homestead Tax Exemption. It’s a really simple process- you may be asked to provide Warranty Deed book and page, proof of residence, social security numbers, driver’s license and car tag info- but if you don’t get to stepping by April 1 (March 1st for some counties), you’re just going to end up paying the man more than he deserves. If there’s a procrastinator in your life, you may want to do them a favor and forward this post… I’ve linked to all of the Atlanta metro area county tax offices, so all they have to do is click through and follow the simple instructions:
