    Emory Medical Housing Search

Emory University’s School of Medicine’s revolving door of physicians-in-training is starting to cycle in its annual crop of new faces.  That means that a new round of scrubs is coming to Inman Park.

Unlike television's beloved Dougie Howser, most medical students cannot rely on room and board from their parents.

It’s that time of year again, when medical students, residents and fellows are finding out where their next stop of medical training will be.  The grueling admissions process often ends with an elated candidate that, while thrilled with an Emory admission, knows next to nothing about where to live in Atlanta.

I, on the other hand, know nothing about medicine (despite looking strikingly similar to Anthony Edwards’ “Dr. Green” on ER), but I’m somewhat encyclopedic when it comes to real estate.  So here’s my advice, dear Emory med students, residents and fellows:

    Check out Inman Park.

Inman Park is perfectly situated between Emory, Grady and Emory Midtown Hospitals.  According to the all-knowing Google Maps, Inman Park is only 3.4 miles and 11 minutes (driving) from Emory University Hospital, 1.5 miles and 7 minutes from Emory Midtown and five minutes and 1 mile from Grady Hospital.  For residents shuttling back and forth between these institutions, you can’t really beat the location.

If you’re relocating to Atlanta (or know someone that’s relocating to Atlanta), I’d love to help you find a new place. Inman Park is just one of many great options in close proximity to Emory.  And considering how many hours you might be spending there (or at Grady Hospital), you might as well live in a location that’s close to both!

      Jon,

Quit trying to let out the biggest secret in Atlanta. Just tell them to move to Buckhead.
