    My-My-My Lachona

Every time I walk into my new listing at 1439 Lachona Court, I hear the lyrics to The Knack’s 1979 mega-hit “My Sharona.” It’s not that it’s just a great house, because that much is obvious.  There’s something else- a je ne sais quoi that occurs when you walk inside that just makes you feel very, very happy.  Perched high above a sloping hill, overlooking a sleepy cul-de-sac, this brick beauty has a lot going for it.  Some highlights:

The updated kitchen, which opens up to an eat-in and play area.

The absolutely massive dining room reguarly hosts up to fourteen guests. Not that you have to regularly host fourteen. Just an option, people.

The completely renovated basement features this super-comfy living area, as well as a full in-law suite, laundry room and more storage than you'll know what to do with.

Four bedrooms, all of which have their own bathroom en suite.

This house is centrally located, well appointed and beautifully maintained.  Located off of Briarcliff Road- just south of the N. Druid Hills exit on I-85- it’s within minutes of Buckhead, Midtown, Decatur and Emory.  Walking distance to Whole Foods, synagogues, churches and schools. If you know anyone that’s looking for a four bedroom house in this part of town, have them give me a holler.  They’ll love My-My-My-Lachona.

    * Just in case you were curious, Sharona Alperin- for whom “My Sharona” was written- is currently a Real Estate agent in Los Angeles.  So no, I’m not the first Realtor to use this song to market a home.
