    Orme Park, Virginia Highland

Showed a house this past weekend in Virginia-Highland that overlooked Orme Park, one of Atlanta’s hidden green gems:

At 6.6 acres, it’s a gorgeous little sliver of a park. The Virginia-Highland Civic Association is currently raising money to improve the park, which will make it even better . They’ve already raised over $200,000 (let’s hear it for generous neighbors!), which is being put towards improving the entrance plaza, handicap accessibility and the playground.

It’s the perfect place to enjoy a spring picnic.

Interesting info, Jon. On the flip side, let me share with you info on a building that was completed in 2003 and has never had a Short Sale or foreclosure. Located in downtown Decatur, with 66 units, it is a building where agents can feel safe taking their clients and buyers can feel safe purchasing. I had the good fortune to be the on-site agent when The Clairemont was built and have lived here since it’s completion.

As much as Buyers need to be wary of buildings with problems, they also need to be made aware that there are those rare instances where a building, and the COA’s, are quite stable. It would be my pleasure to introduce you to The Clairemont, or even better, have you bring a buyer to my new listing whicih will go on the market in a few days.

      Regards,
      Ruth
