The Artisan is the premier condominium building in Decatur. Location couldn’t be any better, amenities are best in class, and the quality of finish is top-notch. Units at The Artisan are always in high demand, especially when they’re as fantastic as my new listing there. No need to brag on it too much- the condo really sells itself. Just in case you’re not convinced by a few pictures, just ask the sellers, and they’ll tell you why this place sings…
Q. What makes living in The Artisan so great?
A. The Artisan is the rare complete package: a 10/10 walkable location; an engaged, socially-welcoming, diverse community of all ages; and a beautiful, high-quality building. The management staff provides a personalized, friendly, above-and-beyond level of support. One can easily alternate between an engaged social experience and the quiet retreat of your home.
A. Decatur is a comprehensive, A+ community experience in so many ways: award-winning restaurants/chefs; walkable, tree-lined neighborhoods; stores and boutiques offering a stimulating variety of selection; award-winning, nationally-recognized public school system; and grocery/pharmacy retail right out your front door! Decatur offers the efficiency and responsiveness of the best-run small cities combined with the vibrancy of a large city (almost weekly events on the square).
A. In a community full of great restaurants, this is no simple question. On an ideal Saturday, we’d walk/run over to the Decatur bi-weekly farmers market (in the church yard across the street) to enjoy a fresh Belgian waffle; and then as we head to one of the five parks within walking distance of our condo, we would likely stop by the popular Dancing Goats coffee shop for a hot or cold beverage. Victory Sandwich Bar (or Souper Jenny’s) is one of favorite lunch spots, with spacious indoor and outdoor areas to enjoy their tantalizing gourmet concoctions. Chai Pani, a hip, street-food style Indian restaurant would be a top contender for dinner (or Farm Burger or Leon’s Full Service), and if we had enough room for dessert, a walk over to the award-winning Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream on the Square would be a must! If it were more of a celebratory night, we might treat ourselves to Kevin Gillespie’s (former Top Chef contestant) Revival. If our sweet-tooth is not completely filled the next morning, we would likely make the trip over to another Decatur stand-out, Revolution Doughnuts.
A. It’s tempting to say we’re on the best floor in the building. Living on the fifth floor, we readily enjoy the common spaces (large, relaxing pool & grill deck with sunset views; large entertaining/study amenities room; and gym/billiards room) as a natural extension of our home. As the fifth floor is divided in two by the pool/grill deck, there is also plenty of natural light and a regular input of fresh air. We have loved our light-filled, flexible/open floor plan, and top of the line kitchen in our condo. Over the eight years we have lived here, the flexible, open floor plan has allowed us to adapt to many changing needs.
