I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world, and I finally had the privilege to sit down with her for an exclusive AIsForAtlanta interview. Actually, I just emailed her the questions. Technically, we were sitting together, but being the modern couple that we are, we just did it over the interwebs. Regardless, Jaci Effron- aside from being my lovely wife- is also the proprietor of Jac
., an Inman Park based “”Best of Atlanta”” boutique. And I love her.
Buckle your seat belts for the best- and my favorite- Five Questions With… to date!
For your final day of eating in Atlanta, where would you go and what would you order?
For breakfast, I would head straight to the OHOP on LaVista for a delicious Dutch Baby pancake – a favorite of mine since I was 4 and won OHOP’s pancake making contest. Then for a mid-morning snack it’s popovers at the café at Neiman Marcus– another oldie but goodie. From Neiman’s, its just a hop, skip and a jump to Souper Jenny for any one of her amazing soups (probably her dad’s turkey chili), sandwiches, salads and cookies (or all of the above!). Come 5 pm it’s time for evening cocktails at Krog Bar and their apple Tremizzini. Ridic good. I might even sneak in their dark chocolate and sea salt toast. Then I guess it’s dinner already? Off to Floataway Café for their amazing ambiance and fab farm fresh food!!
I love living in Grant Park – it’s so green and lovely. It’s nice that it’s secluded, but also super accessible. I have to admit, though, that I have a crush on Lake Claire!
Jaci’s crush on Lake Claire will only deepen when she sets her eyes on this beautiful five bedroom stunner. Click here to see more pictures and read the full description. It’s a great house, and you can read all about it at www.JonEffron.com (plug!)
Stacy London- star of TLC’s “What Not To Where”- recently chose your boutique as one of her favorite shops in the country. If she were to visit Atlanta for 24 hours, where would you take her?
Well, last time I saw her she told me that she wanted to visit The Clermont Lounge. Once we cross that off the list I’d take her for some real fabulous shopping and people watching at the Scott Antiques Market. Then its off to the Majestic Diner for sundaes. And then- since we’ll be right down the street – might as well head back to the Clermont for a nightcap.
What Not To Wear- The Clermont Lounge Edition: Between the patrons and the infamous Blondie, this one would be a ratings bonanza…
Best Atlanta celebrity sightings?
Lionel Richie at Whole Foods on Ponce. He looked so young up close, I didn’t think it was him at first!
If you could bring back Music Midtown, who would you want to see?
One of the great things about Music Midtown was how many stages there were with different genres of music – which totally suits me since I am pretty much all over the board in the music department. I would have to go with Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings – they put on a sick concert; Vampire Weekend – recently got really into their music and I think it would be really fun to bop around to; Tribe Called Quest, the reprise tour – I made this up, but since its my fantasy question I figured I could!; Fleet Foxes; Band of Bees, The Fab Faux…..
