Nearly four months ago, I discovered that this website had been hacked. A trojan horse had ingratiated itself in to our control panel, and we had no choice but to shut down our site. Given the level of the virus’ infection, our site was flagged by Google as “hacked”, and dozens of pages of content and thousands of images were corrupted beyond restoration. I’ll spare you the gory details, but let’s just say that the last few months have been extremely difficult.
Who Are You Again, And Why Do You Do This?
This website has always been as much about my passion for Atlanta real estate as it has been about business. I launched AisForAtlanta.com in 2008, on the basic Blogspot format, and over the course of the last eight years I’ve written over 700 pages of original content. The site inspired me to learn more about Atlanta’s history, neighborhoods, people, places and things. It introduced me to new friends and clients. It pushed me to be the best I could possibly be at what I do. Seeing the site go down in flames like it did was painful, but it has also inspired me to rededicate myself to for all the reasons noted above. A bummer, yes. But also a huge opportunity.
What you’ve seen here today is just the beginning, a work in progress. If you have feedback, share it. Real estate questions? Ask us. We’ve got a long way to go, but we’re committed to making this site great again. Scratch that last line, too soon. Put in simpler terms, we’re excited to be back online and look forward to serving up fresh content, expert analysis, and a treasure trove of Atlanta real estate data. We’re ready to get to work.
