Even though we’re only about a month in, all things seem possible. Sure, it’s exceptionally cold, but that doesn’t mean that you need to spend more time at home. A few good ideas to help get your new year off to a fantastic start or cast off that last wave of cabin fever…
1. Get Your Herban Fix– I hesitate to refer to Herban Fix as a vegan restaurant- doing so somehow makes me feel like I’m selling it short. If you like delicious and beautiful food, then this is your new go-to. Think of the health benefits as a bonus.
2. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Performs The Music Of Prince– Prince’s iconic music lives on through the full symphony, joined on stage by the world-renowned Windborne band. If you’re not a big “symphony person”, this is the perfect opportunity to follow through on that resolution that you’re going to try something new in 2018. January 26th, at Symphony Hall.
3. 1018 Honda Battle of the Bands– On January 27th, eight of the best HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) marching bands are headed for Mercedes Benz Stadium for the showdown to end all showdowns. If you’ve never been, put it on your calendar and make it happen. Music, performance, tubas, drum majors and more. Guaranteed good time.
4. Join (or host) A Civic Dinner– Meet new people, break bread together, and discuss the important issues. Locations all over the city, topics ranging from “Our Future Atlanta” to “State of Women”. Commit to being a part of the conversation in 2018- you never know where it might lead!
