According to, Sandy Springs is the 9th most affluent area in the United States and the 2nd most affluent community in the South.  One of the Atlanta area’s newest municipalities (Sandy Springs citizens voted to become a city in 2005), clocked Sandy Springs in with a median houshold income of $71,592 and a median house value of $486,500.  Out of the 420 cities surveyed, Roswell placed 49th and Atlanta ranked 79th.
